CASCADA DE COLORES (Caldera de Taburiente)

You can find this place when you go deep into the ravine of the Caldera de Taburiente. This place is special to me because it is unusual to find a place with these characteristics, a very quiet place, very colorful and offers unique views. The first time I visited this place I was 2 years old, I barely remember that moment but once I saw the photos of the memory I loved it. For several years, I try to visit this place every summer with a group of friends, we spent the day hiking to finish the route enjoying this beautiful waterfall. If you ever have the opportunity to visit this place, don't think about it, you won't regret it. I hope you liked one of my favorite places and that you visit it soon.

A haven of peace: Punta de Teno

Let me introduce you to one of the places in Tenerife I find most astonishing: Punta de Teno. It is the westernmost part on the island, a remote place surrounded by huge cliffs. These circumstances have contributed to the preservation of such an environmental asset.

Whenever I drive there, the journey along the amazing cliffs is awesome. What is more, getting there by boat with friends by the coastline from the port of Los Gigantes is such a unique experience.

Walking on reddish volcanic rocks towards the idyllic lighthouse, so well preserved, swimming in its incredibly blue waters, or the breath-taking sunset will live forever on my mind.

Where can I swim with a clean sea and incredible views of Teide?

This place that I'm going to tell you about belongs to a town in the north of the island of Tenerife, specifically in La Guancha.

This place on the coast of La Guancha is called Charco del Viento.

This area was formerly unknown due to but has become famous for social networks. For me it is a special place because here I learned to swim and it is where I spend every summer day with my friends. It is wonderful to be able to observe the clarity of the water and many fish. I am very proud to show you this place that is so important to me as it has made my town a little better known. Throughout the year this place is visited by tourists.

The advantages that I find in this place are: the crystal clear water, the views of Mount Teide, how big it is and because it is a meeting point for young people in summer.

The disadvantages that I find are: the difficulty of parking in summer and the road. If you like fishing and diving, I am sure you will love visiting the Charco del Viento. Go ahead and come!

Don't forget about the garbage and watch out for the road.

The mysteries of Gorge´s king

Would you be able walk about a gorge and cross over a suspension bridge?

I have been able to visit it and many other people since 1921, when the King Alfonso XIII inaugurated the Guadalhorce-Guadalteba reservoirs. Since then, it began to be called Caminito del Rey.

The path is in Álora, an Andalusian town located in the south of Spain, where my mother grew up. For this reason, it is so special for me, because I spent summers in the El Chorro reservoir with my maternal family. Also, because El Caminito del Rey is gorgeous for the contrast between the cliff and the turquoise water. In addition, you can even see fossil remains from when the water level was higher.

What do you think? Would you dare to visit it now or do you have vertigo?

Would you be able walk about a gorge and cross over a suspension bridge?

I have been able to visit it and many other people since 1921, when the King Alfonso XIII inaugurated the Guadalhorce-Guadalteba reservoirs. Since then, it began to be called Caminito del Rey.

It is a 3 km long pedestrian crossing with a maximum width of just one meter, which, at some points, reaches a height of 100 meters above the reservoir, with turquoise waters. In addition, next to it there is a swamp called El Chorro.

In the 1990s it was in a sorry state but its dangerousness made it more famous. This led to numerous accidents, some fatal, and increased his black legend. The rehabilitated path was opened to the public in 2015 and Lonely Planet named it one of the best places to visit the same year.

The path began next to the railroad tracks and ran through the Gaitanes gorge, in Álora, an Andalusian town located in the south of Spain, where my mother grew up. For this reason it is so special for me, because I spent summers in the El Chorro reservoir with my maternal family, but without bathing, just getting our feet wet from the areas of quicksand in the water and from the stories of sea monsters, since it has a great depth and researchers are said to have found sea monsters. Also, because El Caminito del Rey is gorgeous for the contrast between the cliff and the turquoise water. In addition, you can even see fossil remains from when the water level was higher.

What do you think? Would you dare to visit it now or do you have vertigo?

Description

My favorite place is far from me, that makes me a little sad at times, it is a charming place, not very big, but that you fall in love with it since the very moment you walk through the door. It is a contemporary place, with great cultural diversity, which is located in one of the busiest cities in the world. Once you get inside you reach a feeling of peace as you never felt before, you can see the affection of all the people who work there, and the great companionship they have. Open since 2003, it has the best breakfasts I have ever had. When I entered for the first time I felt something special and I knew that it would become my favorite place in the world, the one to go back to mentally whenever I need to. And I hope I can return physically more often.

Ronda

Ronda, in the heart of the province of Malaga, is an attractive invitation to discover Andalusia's past. It is situated on a deep gorge which separates the new city from the old town. There is also a new bridge, made especially of stone where you can enjoy amazing views of the town. The New Town Bullring, a legendary 18th-century plaza, is really one of the city's most prominent monuments.

It is one of the most special for me because it was a gift from my partner for my birthday. I felt so thrilled that I could not sleep the night before. I am absolutely delighted to have enjoyed it with her because there is nothing better than making your dreams come true with the person you love.
